about me

Born in Tokyo, Tomoharu Nagashima japanese based artist who mainly making works with Urushi (Japanese lacquer).

As a player in the East/West dialogue, He has dedicated to breaking down boundaries between Kogei (Craft Art) and Fine Art , between Tradition and Modernity, Power and Resistance. 

He has shown widely in and outside the Japan: at Setouchi Triennale, Japan (2019); Sookmyung Women's University, South Korea (2015); Japan Cultural Center, SanFrancisco, USA (2018); Kunst Akademie Muenster; Muenster, Germany (2019); among others.
